Company History
RML Shredding is a division of Rocky Mountain Logistics (RML), which was started right here in Louisville. President Jon Boatright is originally from Colorado but has become a permanent resident of Kentucky since he moved here 15 years ago. Co-owner/CFO Gary Remmers, a lifelong resident of Louisville, teamed up with Jon in 2001 and they started a small shredding operation under a different name that serviced a local hospital’s shredding needs. Since 2001, Jon has been part owner in a local medical transportation company that worked in conjunction with the shredding operation for pickups and deliveries. Rocky Mountain Logistics was incorporated in 2005 when Gary partnered with Jon. At that time the shredding operations and medical transportation operations merged and became one company.
Since incorporation, RML has grown substantially within its shredding division. From hospitals to CPA firms, there is no business too large or too small for us to handle. Our on-site mobile service utilizes a new state-of-the art Shred-Tech truck to service accounts requiring on-site service. Our off-site facility, which houses a state-of-the-art industrial shredder, can handle any size job. We recently shredded 20,000 file boxes for a local document storage company. Our shredding business is complemented by our transportation business where we can utilize our semi-trucks for these types of large jobs.
Both Jon and Gary are avid outdoorsmen and the name Rocky Mountain Logistics was derived based on that outdoor theme. We are proud to have started this business in the Kentuckiana area and have grown our company to a workforce of 30 employees. We strongly believe in supporting the local community and make every effort to use local vendors for all of our purchases and services.

Jon Boatright
Owner/President
Jon Boatright has lived in Kentucky for 17 years after expanding his medical transportation business from Denver, CO. He served three years in the U.S. Army at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. In 1994, Jon co-founded Medical Transport Services, Inc. and within five years, MTS had hubs throughout the country including Texas and Florida.In 1999, when the opportunity to expand to Louisville arose, Jon jumped at the chance. In the last 12 years, Jon’s vision has taken a medical transportation company working with one hospital system into a multifunctional, logistical operation serving the majority of hospital systems in the area as well as numerous private businesses throughout Kentucky and Indiana with shredding and transportation services.
Gary Remmers
Owner/CFO
Born and raised in Louisville, Gary is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and has a BA from Bellarmine College. He worked at UPS for 17 years. As an operations and industrial engineering manager, he was instrumental in the design and implementation of the automated Hub2000 expansion at Standiford Field. He later worked in the financial industry for five years before teaming up with Jon boatright in 2001 and eventually starting Rocky Mountain Logistics (RML) in 2005.
Tony Spugnardi
Sales & Operations Manager
Tony graduated from Shelby County High School in Shelbyville, KY and received his BA from the University of Louisville. He spent 25 years in sales management in the advertising/printing industry prior to joining RML in 2009. He wears many hats at RML and can be found working anywhere from making business sales calls to shredding in the warehouse to providing service from our trucks.
Kathi Lincoln
Account Executive
Kathi, a native Louisvillian, graduated from Jeffersontown High School. She majored in broadcast communications at Western Kentucky University. She has worked in radio and TV for over 20 years prior to coming to work with RML. Her years of involvement in the local community and commitment to customer satisfaction have made her an excellent fit with our company. Additionally, she has been an integral part of our marketing efforts.
